The new 19-inch AQUOS LC-19D44U is the first model in Sharp's (Booth 722) extensive LCD TV line-up to offer true 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and 1366 x 768 resolution for 720p HDTV compatibility in a 19-inch screen size. Ideal for a smaller or secondary television-watching space, the widescreen format allows movies to be seen in the aspect ratio originally intended by the director. The LC-19D44U includes ATSC/NTSC tuners to receive off-air broadcasts as well as digital cable QAM capability to receive non-scrambled digital cable programming*. In addition, the LC-19D44U features HDMI and PC compatibility, and provides outstanding picture quality with 400:1 contrast ratio.

The LC-19D44U also has a unique remote with a built-in clock/timer and a magnetic back for placing the remote on metallic surface for ease of use. A timer function provides a convenient count down for use in a kitchen when cooking or in the bedroom to catch a favorite program. Model LC-19D44U will be available in October.
